                                          began with the classics on piano and                        guitar, and vocals, studying with some of the most renowned instructors in America such as Jon Sharp, the theatrical instructor who went on to direct "All In The Family".  To Continue her vocal experience Goodnight was asked to participate at the White House for President Clinton and sang on the sound track "Forrest Gump"

Her credits are wide ranged but a part of the compelling charisma that makes up a true professional and creative artist, Goodnight has done everything from black gospel and spiritual Gullah tunes with Hallelujah Singers, to her love for the barbershop tunes with the Beaufort Belles, and singing with The Pittsburgh Victorian Gibson Girls in Brooksville, PA, and Saratoga Spring, and New York where she sang originals as well.

Fans from the folk scene have joined the Goodnight list of admirers.  Goodnight is a popular artist at the Lake Eden Arts Festival, in Black Mt., NC., and the Beaufort Doffodil Festival on Cane Island, in SC.

Amongst the more theatrical credits, Goodnight performed as the lead in the Gothic Rock Opera as Katrina in "Nocturne", and the lead in a one woman show with Broadway tunes and monologue of two hours called "A Dream Deferred".  She perfomed in the suspense drama "Extremities" as Jenny.  Goodnight was asked to open for the Atlantic Rhythm Section in Savannah, GA for New Years 98 at the Marriott Hotel.

Goodnight now has several songs published in Nashville, TN., and with the release of her second CD, formed her own record label, Irene Goodnight Records and Irene Goodnight Publishing.  Her latest effort "I'm Gonna Fly" which is getting national attention and spins across the USA and Europe
